Because the 1.05 feels smoother?

Smoother than what? I was just saying that the 2 are close to one another imo. I used the 1.05 daily for a couple months. I obviously didn’t want to bring a ti wolfman on the plane so I I brought my karve D plate as they feel very similar and I can shave daily with it without accumulated irritation.

If that doesn’t answer your question let me know ;-)

It’s all besides the point now. I haven’t reached for it in almost 2 months since I started using straights lol. The poor bastard is in the background of most of my instagram photos lmao.

DanG I have the SS Karve G plate and find it an efficient and relatively smooth tool with some blade exposure and feel. Before I got the Ti WR2 145 I tried several members’ Wolfmans and as I recall the KarveG was similar in efficiency to WR2 125 with the Wolfman being noticeably smoother.

Best of luck AJ

Thanks for the comparison AJ. Just what I was hoping to hear. Mine was in at 830 central time zone so I should be soon.

I had my second shave with the G plate this morning. Second use of a Feather blade. It is efficient and smooth as AJSharp noted above. I think you'll like it. Here is mine with one of Karve's handles that I drilled out.

That's a great custom  job on your handle. Drill press?

Yes. It appeared to me that the handle was one piece, but the way it worked out. the little nub on the end must have been pressed in. It spun once I bit into it. Finally got through that and it was smooth sailing from there. Here is the nub, and a piece of it out of the center. I'm going to epoxy them back in the close off the end when I get around to it.

Just wanted to give everyone an update. I shaved with my SS 1.55 for a week straight, 2 passes (WTG and ATG), and I can happily say that it can easily be a daily driver for me. No irritation at all during this time. Couldn't be happier with it. I didn't understand the hype behind the WR2 until I got to a 1.25 blade gap and I'm now blown away with the 1.55.

I hope everyone is enjoying their razor as much as I am mine Smile

Now, if I could only get a Ti version of the same setup......
