Here is a quick shot of the exact blade I used as an example shim, measuring exactly 0.10
So yes, 1 x blade shim is in the ballpark of increasing a 1.15 to 1.25 for example...
Other blades may vary in minute measurements, but negligible within shaving tolerances...this is of course my personal view....

If my wife finds out how much shaving is costing........I may have to accept this offer? and come live in your Snap-On box!
Sure! I could even include a couple of sandwiches a day and look at it as a security expense!

So Who's Going To Be the First to Put A Blade / Shim / Blade / Shim / Blade And Make The First Multi Blade WOLFMAN !?!
Tony
You would need a spacer to separate blades and somehow separate the angle like that Russian razor (I cannot recall the name). I tried it and it was a terribly harsh and ineffective activity using a mostly plastic razor. It’s now landfill.

The blade looks fairly flat and to have a low exposure, high gap like Karve. The Karve is ok, but I didn’t like it as much as most people. If the WR2 is similar, I think I’ll probably go for another WR1.
The Karve is the most wr2-esqe razor currently made. I can draw many comparable metrics and feelings from one to the other. Finish wise though....no comparison.

Your feedback I have no doubt shall be most welcomed and invaluable to those of us waiting in line....
Can I ask why you are going up 2 sizes from 105 to 125?
What are your initial thoughts pre shave?
In my last shave I used one shim (rising from 1.05 to 1.15) and I'm not sure if there was really a gain in efficiency.
So I will take the test tomorrow with two shims.

I think i might have asked this previously, but for the sake of my own validation, can any Wolfman WR2 gaps be compared to any Karve plates?

I’m starting to think I might want another wr1, but in a different gap than what I currently have. I had both Karve F plates and I originally ordered the D SB plate, but I just didn’t find it smooth until the second pass. There were certain spots that gave me trouble on the first pass if my angle was not spot on.(09-29-2019, 08:46 PM)Dayman Wrote: Has anyone compared the wr2 to the Karve? Yeah for me both the wr2 and the Karve are perhaps the 2 smoothest razors made today. Go figure.
