I have both of these Razors, so I can give my impression. For me the Ti 1.25 is a touch more efficient than the SS 1.15, and the Ti Razors have a ‘softer’ face feel than the Stainless. Both give me excellent shaves, just a different experience with the two materials. These are probably my two favorite Razors in the Den.

Thanks! Would you say the 1.25 ti is smoother than the 1.15 SS?

Hunter, are both of your razors polished?

I can't speak to the specific question as asked. But the finish makes a difference, imo. Polished SS has a lot less resistance than brushed Ti.

If you guys covered this and I missed it, pardon. Just clarifying for my own knowledge.

I wouldn’t say the Ti 1.25 is ‘smoother’ than the 1.15 in SS, but it definitely feels ‘softer’ on the face if that makes sense. I definitely notice the difference with the decreased weight in the Ti. Both give efficient and smooth shaves. To clarify my Ti 1.25 is Brushed/Satin Finish and my SS is Polished/Mirror. I hope this helps.

I have a Ti timeless so I understand perfectly what you mean by "softer feel". Thanks again.

Back around 1980 I was collecting Case XX pocket knives with stag horn handles. Scarce at that time, though a few years later they began producing them again. So I was on a construction job and showed a knife roll with about 20 of them to a co-worker ... he said, "If you're not satisfied with what you have, you'll never be satisfied with what you get."

I didn't listen to that sage advice and the ensuing years have been the quest for one 'obscure object of desire' after another.

But it has been fun.  Smile

I’ve been doing the same thing myself. I want to try a WR2 and Tatara, but I keep asking myself why. I like the razors I have and I have enough variety, so why do I need to spend money on another razor. I guess because it’s fun to try new things.

Living on the edge
I'm getting such amazingly efficient and smooth shaves from the WR1 86SB... so pretty curious, as the WR2 1.25 surpasses it by a bit in efficiency
and smoothness will be on another plane. Who can say no to more of a good thing...hehe

If I choose to get one and have the opportunity I would probably get the SS WR2 1.15 SB with WRH2 hollow handle both with basic finish but not sure if brushed or polished. My current favorite razors are the Blackbird SB (polished) and Game Changer .84 SB.
