It won't. He needs to go back to a waiting list or something. It feels like the same four people with a pile of Wolfmans are the only ones getting them. Quite frustrating.

For ME, it is quite simple: The ONLY Wolfman razors I have purchased (recently) have been four on the DFS and TSN Forums, the fifth was on ebay.
I have also used a Monitor on the Wolfman website the last two months with NO purchases.
Sometimes an item listed on ebay is from a Forum member and a little bit of research will allow you to figure out who it is. Then you can contact him on the Forums via a PM.

In the last 2-3 days, at least 2 razors have been listed on the Forums, one is Posted as I write this.
I recently purchased a razor from a Forum member form Russia. He had NO feedback, but one of his razors was also listed on ebay, and he had 151 positive Feedbacks on ebay,
with the same ID on ebay, as on DFS. IF you purchase, be sure to NOT use F&F. If from Russia (at least with expensive items) be sure that the more expensive EMS shipping is used.
Safer and much faster (about 2 weeks).
Bottom Line: If you spend a much smaller amount of your time checking Forum BST and ebay listings, instead of focusing on the Wolfman website, you will have a better experience and chance of 'scoring a Wolfman'. It may be more expensive money wise, but cheaper time wise and frustration wise. THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE WITH THE NEW INCREASED PRICING, and the price difference may not be as great, at least for a while.

That may be true, but it's just gonna be "a Wolfman", not necessarily the one you want. If I'm dropping that kind of coin on a razor, I want it to be with the specs that I want not just a random Wolfman so I can show off the fact that I have one. Besides, my preference is a WR2 and ain't nobody selling those on the BSTs that I've seen.

I did NOT want to make my previous post too long, BUT ... TWO things needed: Patience and being SELECTIVE.

I obtained two razors that I wanted to try to see IF they worked for ME. The ONLY way is to purchase something (especially a razor).
I obtained a WR1 .74 DC a couple of months ago, then a WR1 .86 DC shortly after that. I was then, later, able to purchase a WR1 .61 OC  (Did NOT especially want it) because it came with a Darwin handle and WRA2 Stand. I not only found that I really like the Darwin handle, but the .61 OC works much better for me than I thought.

I was then, able to obtain a .74 SB and recently, a .74 OC. I sold the .74 DC because my preference is having SEPARATE razors.

I still have the .86 DC.

I also bought a WR2 1.15 DC for almost $900, because the member paid that for it. I realized early on that it did NOT work for ME, as I do not like the WR2 OC side. I sold it soon after for about what I paid for it (I usually keep items a while, but this was an expensive purchase, and I needed the money for other purchases).

SO, not only Patience and being Selective, but willing to TAKE ACTION, WHEN NEEDED.

THAT, is about ALL I have to say ... on this subject.

pork - This is from 5/17 drop  -  before prices were changed ...

LOOT - WRH7XL and it is hollow. Yes I like it (especially lighter weight), but time will tell. Gap is 1.25. Bellow is pic WRH7 regular and this hybrid for comparison.

Congrats, lovely set. Is the standard sized handle on the left a brushed finish, and the larger on the right polished ? Appears that way to me in the photos.

Do you know if James will furnish a stand for the larger handle on request ?

Finally, please update your impressions on the shave with that gap ?

Thats the big question....he didn't make it sound very appealing in his own words.
Maybe he was just being careful not to oversell the base finish....but I have to
believe that a guy with such high standards would not let something of dubious
quality leave his workshop...or else the customers will talk. I bet he follows this thread.

2nd use of the WR1 head, and this time was how it was meant to be

This was a 0.80 OC shave exclusively....I dont think I can follow the discipline of using one side
for WTG and another for ATG....Ive decided that for this razor, there will be one side  implemented from start to
finish for every shave. I chuck blades after 3 uses anyways, so any uneven wear will not be a factor, I suspect.

I need to reprise Dan Law's masterful analysis of Wolfman heads again, as truer words were ne'er spoken.

• If one wants a razor possessing most of the design elements making the BBS-1 so unique among modern DE razors but with the ability to shave daily even using less than ideal technique, it is the WR2.

This time I was very mindful of pressure and angle on the WR1....feather light strokes and an angle that was achieved by keeping the handle
closer to the face than the WR2. I think it's a very narrow angle of effectiveness that I overshot my first time around. I would say the angle on the WR1 feels more "immediate" and arrives earlier than the WR2.

I could feel the teeth of the comb quite distinctly, it wasn't pleasing nor distressing (funnily, on a RFB, you scarcely feel
the teeth at all)....there was no tugging going up, down or sideways on the neck with the 80 OC. With the right angle,
there was no need to buff and hence no weepers. In terms of face feel, the 1.15 WR2 takes the crown but the 80OC left me
with a finish that was remarkably similar and easy to achieve.

Visually the head of the WR1 doesn't look much smaller than the WR2 but its accessibility in that upper lip area was a joy to
experience. I went in a few directions and all the results were superb.

I was initially thinking of getting another head before these price increases came up but was holding off till I figured out
whether I liked the WR1 or WR2 better as I'd get the third head based on that decision. I am no closer to figuring out which head
wins...I like both as each brings something different to the table.

The WR1 brings the sensibilities of a manual transmission sports car while the WR2 has the plushness and comfort of an automatic transmission.

If Im being honest, I think if I purchased any more razors from him I'd be doing it just for the heck of it. These two cover about 99% of my needs.
If anything, his new prices have forced me to be appreciate and be happy with what I have.

Great post Mr. Tester. The more you use the 80OC, the better you will get with it. In a week or two you will be zipping around your mug without regard for injury.

The 86SB in the other side makes a fantastic combo. If I went DC with different gaps, it would configured exactly like yours.
