Yeah I found the oc wr2 harsh compared to the Sb side of a 1.25 DC I tried....

To me the OC side of the SS DC 1.25 compared to my Titanium OC 1.25 is a lot different. Much smoother while not really losing any efficiency. All it takes is a very, very light amount of consistent pressure to equal the SS version in efficiency but again much smoother. Also if you look very close at both OC teeth on the SS vs Ti it looks like it may have been polished more or something that James does because they look somewhat more rounded and smoothed out.

If I had to do an apples to oranges type comparison for a moment...I’d say that to my face the WR1 in OC with its head geometry is a smoother OC compared to the WR2 in OC. Just personal observation for both in stainless. I’d also say that the WR2 in SB with its head geometry is a smoother SB compared to the WR1 in SB. I have only tried each of these razors in stainless.

To me the wr1’s bar design was a total wash. SB or OC felt almost identical. The wr2 in steel is very different but my experience is limited as I buy SB exclusively

I've got a 1.15 dc on the way. After debating for the entire waiting process to actually get another one between sb and dc. You guys are making me wish I went sb lol.

You will still have a GREAT razor. I got a WR2 1.15 DC and sold it once I got a SB 1.25 which I love. I am not an OC guy except for the Timeless. 95 OC and Karve OC

I have a 1.25 DC in stainless and I think I will shoot for a titanium 1.35 SB next time I can get in. Love my 1.25 though! I will never sell that one.

Hey George1906. I just got a SB 1.35 Ti and love it. A touch more blade feel and efficiency than the SS 1.25 which is a tad smoother and a drop less efficient. Both my favorite razors!!!

I have a 1.05 sb already. The day I finally got another was on about 4 days growth and thought "well an oc would come in handy for times like this" and went with dc. Otherwise I've always gone sb. I suppose it won't be too hard to trade though if I feel the need.

Congrats on that my man!! I knew you had one on order!! Glad you got it! I’ve been spending WAY too much money on Grizzly Bay brushes recently but I will get one of those 1.35’s soon!
