He’s been doing it every so often.

george1906 I had asked James as my WR1 Titanium that I bought a few years ago was Polished. He said he doesn’t do it anymore but was willing to match my original one.

I think his titanium razors look better polished and stainless steel looks better brushed. Just my opinion though!

does a gap like 1.35 sb/1.25 oc lend itself to being used daily?
or is it just for a few days growth

I have just one shave in with it so far and it was very smooth and efficient I am 17 hours post shave right now and I am just starting to feel a little stubble in my usual spots. With this little bit of info I would say it is more of an every other day shave, I will keep experimenting with it to see what works best as I only did a WTG, XTG pass yesterday with a Polsilver

For those of you with .94 WR1s, how frequently can you use it? Daily? Only on multiple day growth?

My only WR1 is a .80. I could probably use it daily and get nice, irritation-free shaves. My WR2s are smoother and more efficient, however. I definitely notice that I get a closer shave with a WR2 1.25 and/or 1.15 than with the .80. I assume there is a noticeable difference when jumping from .80 to .94. Is there a noticeable difference between .80 and .86?

I don't shave every day. I can for 7 or 8 days in a row but I enjoy tackling various levels of growth. The 115 would be my grab if I knew I was going daily for an extended period of time or for vacation. It would also be my pick if I only had one WR2 head. A 125Ti may change my mind, although doubtful.

The 125 will be slightly more efficient than an 86. So your 115 and 125 pretty much cover 83-89 in the WR1 head.

The 94 is basically the same as the 135 but as you noted, the WR2 is smoother with slightly less blade feel on the first pass. That's true of any WR1 vs WR2 comparison, to me.

As to daily use of a 94, I suppose some could but not me. I've used it 2 days in a row. It just cuts so close that, as Shavemd said, there is very little regrowth even after 24 hours. And the 94 requires more attention than any of the others. Lapses are paid in blood, forgiving it is not. The 135 WR2 is much more forgiving and easier to use IMO. The danger with it is....it can lull you to sleep. Your mind wonders too far and it'll get you too. With that said, I don't find either threatening at all. Two different ways of achieving the same goal. Totally different experiences IMO.
