I have had a cold when I received my WR2 1.25 SB with the WRH1 90mm solid handle so all I did was get a quick shave in to try my new toy out. It was a damn good shave too. Well I tried it again with the once used Polsilver and Stirling Tea Tree soap with a Stirling Badger brush. I had 4 days growth on my beard and while my beard isn’t super dense, the hairs were about a 3/16 to 1/4 of an inch long. My beard is weird lol, derby’s won’t cut it and the blade that cuts the hair fine(but not super efficiently) and spares my skin from burning or dryness is the Polsilver.
On to the shave, I did three passes WTG, XTG, and ATG. The Wolfman did great taking down 4 days of growth and it did it with great comfort and ease, no clogging and a quick rinse was all it took to clean the razor head while shaving. The grip on the WRH1 is superb and the balance is perfect for me since I don’t like to hold the razor close to the base plate.
I chose the basic polished finish and it looks great really happy with it and I honestly would not pay for the mirror finish. I just don’t see the point really. One thing I can’t get over is how smooth ATG this razor is, it’s crazy and not to mention the efficiency, I got a real BBS, which I thought was impossible for me. I currently own the Paradigm SE, GC 84 OC, Ti Baby Smooth, Rex Ambassador, the Envoy, PAA SS Ascension, SS General and a few common vintage Gillette’s and none of them offer the efficiency, the smoothness, and the post shave feel of this Wolfman Razor. Now to find out if I can shave everyday with it without irritation building up, which is why I chose the Solid bar option.
Thank you guys for helping me out when I had questions and was looking for advice on my purchase. I really appreciate it. Now to decide which other razors to sell. Lol
