6 Days and 6 shaves with my Ti WR2 1.45. One 3 pass traditional shave and the other 5 were 2 pass shaves always WTG then some XTG and others ATG. I used Polsilver, Nacet, and GSB blades, Feather is next. I was not a fan of the WR2 until I used the 1.45 gap, it is efficient enough to allow me BBS face and DFS neck with 2 passes ( when I went ATG on my neck, I did get BBS). It is a very smooth shaver even at this large of a gap, I did not find this true with the Karve. The D plate was smooth but not consistent in getting results, the E & F plates lost some of the smoothness and never gave me the results of the 1.45.
Tonight for my 6th shave I barely had much to shave so after 1 pass WTG I only needed a 2nd touchup pass with a little buffing under the nose and jawline, easy work for the WR2. I am surprised that a razor with this large of a blade gap can buff so easily. Now it’s time to do some side by sides with my collection and start clearing out the den again.

Time to start keeping a close eye on BST
So good to hear about this blade gap - would be interesting to be able to compare SS and Ti at 1.45!

I already have a WR1, so I know I want a WR2. I just have to decide on 1.05 vs 1.15.Save yourself some time and go with the 1.15

Which wr1 do you like? I find the results to be about the same and the 1.05 to be smoother. No brainer right there.

I have the 61 OC. I have sensitive skin, so I use it on days when my skin needs a break (seems to happen every season change for some reason). I would like something a little more efficient in the WR2. I’m a 2 pass shaver and I like enough blade feel to know where the blade is. My daily razors are Charcoal Goods level 2 OC or SB, I prefer the OC, Carbon CX, Timeless 95 OC, and Wolfman WR1. I can use the Blackird SB for about 4 days in a row before I need something a little milder. I will be getting the OC in whichever gap I choose for the WR2.
A very kind friend sent a WR2 with a 1.55 gap for me to try. I'm 70 years old and have a plethora of DEs, including Wolfman in .74, .86, .94, BBS-1, and WR2 1.25/1.15 DC. This 1.55 gave me the best shave of my life. My first WTG pass was really enough, but I did my routine ATG pass anyway ... that with a brand new Feather blade. If I get the invoice I'm going WR2 1.55 for sure.
