Hi just wondering if anyone could help me, I have a wolfman Wr2 1.25 that isn't working as great as I would like, the problem is I'm finding there is abit of blade chatter. It seems to me there is abit of gap between the baseplate and blade where other Razors the baseplate and blade are more close together. I have compared it to my WR1 0.74, raw shaving and charcoal goods Level 2 razor they all work fine and I don't get this problem. I'm wondering if the wr2 1.15 would work better I used to have the 1.05 but found it to mild. Has anyone used the 1.15 and 1.25 to compare?

If it helps make you feel not alone on this, I did not enjoy any gap from 1.05 to 1.35. Mediocre shaver for my face. World class fabrication and finishing doesn’t equate to a good shave for all of us.

Ok that's very interesting, that's a shame none of them worked for you I thought the wr2 was supposed to be one of the best Razors. What are your favourite Razors then ?

Though I have no skin in the game when it comes to a Wolfman razor, I can say pretty confidently that in the 5+ yrs I've been following Wolfman posts I have never heard of one having blade chatter!! Then again there's always a first for everything...

I would say it is still one of the best razors despite our sentiment. Reason being the overwhelming majority of people it is top tier for, machining, and finishing. My favorites are the sailor, raw, timeless 95 ti, paradigm se. No order.

I’ve never noticed any chatter but the WR2 did have a learning curve for me before I found the ideal angle. My .94 WR1 was my favorite shaver before I got the angle down on the WR2 and now my 1.65 WR2 is king.

I haven’t tried the gaps you mentioned, only 1.55 and 1.65, so I’m unsure how much that could affect what your experiencing.

Just curious, what blades have you tried?

In the WR2s I've got the BBS-1 (basically a prototype of the WR2) @ 1.00 gap. A 1.15 OC/1.25 SB DC, a 1.25 OC, and a 1.55 SB.

No chatter on any of the above. Assuming the top cap locks down tight to the base plate I can only suppose the problem lies in the angle of attack.

Try increasing your angle. IMHO.

I don’t get any chatter with either of my wolffman razors. I like both, but I do prefer my WR1 74 OC to my WR2 125 SB.

My Wolfman displays the “death grip” characteristic. No blade chatter whatsoever. Holds it extremely tight. This is the first time I heard of blade chatter in a Wolfman. Also some razors excel considering they have blade chatter (ie Blackbird Ti) and it doesn’t affect the shave for me. Go to 1.45 or 1.55 Wolfman Wr2 and your shaves may improve drastically. GL

JimmyH reminded me that I also have a BBS-1, just totally forgot it was the proto-WR2, which has become the best head shaving razor I’ve found and same story, zero blade chatter.
