I’m thinking to get dual Comb .61 and OC .67 maybe this will be similar to Karve Plate C..

Let me know if any suggestions as I’m a mild shaver and use also CG Level 2 Gap which gives me nice shaves..

Karve C is around the same blade exposure as the standard gap. I remember you said the .80 was too aggressive with more blade feel than you liked.

Maybe start with the .61 in either SB or OC, personally I wouldn't go dual comb unless you want to test both sides and then trade for another baseplate. The .74 will be too close to the .80 in blade feel. I expect the difference between .61 and .67 will be very little efficiency-wise, but haven't tried the .67 myself.

The only differences are very slight increases in efficiency but a palpable increase in blade feel. All produce irritation free shaves for me. I have no desire right now to experiment with anything less than .61. For others that may be different.

I think you're on the right track. WR1 .61/.67 in a DC but I'd go with the higher gap in the SB. Do the  first pass with the OC .61, and the clean up with the .67 SB. IMHO.

The only WR1 I own is a .DC 61OC/.67SB. There is some minor blade feel but actually enjoyable. I get amazing close shaves with that razor paired with the right blade. For me it does fall into the Karve C, 68 OC or 95SB Timeless (with a mild blade). I don't notice much difference between the the 2 sides on my WR1. I just use both sides as to wear out the blade equally.

Thanks Jimmy

This was my first guess and I followed my heart and WR1 .61 OC & SB .74 should do the trick match close to Karve Plate C.

I’ll go with this when my time comes and hope will be a right choice.

Thanks for reply I’ll go maybe with .61OC & .67 SB I was just thinking of my Karve Plate C shaves so nice but I don’t know blade exposure on Wolfman and experience that much with it..

Unless I get .67 SB and try that first hope will be decent irritation free shaves for me lol.

Alan, here are the exposure measurements for the WR1 up to .86

.86 = 0.25mm EFFICIENT
.80 = 0.17mm
.74 = 0.17mm
.67 = 0.10mm
.61 = 0.10mm STANDARD GAP
.54 = 0.10mm
.48 = 0.02mm MILD

It's a good jump from .67 to .74

My .61 OC is very smooth and comfortable, but not as smooth as the .48 but it's more efficient naturally

Well, 7 months and a few days later I have the email to proceed. I think I may postpone for the moment, but had been eyeing the WR1 .80.

I’ve really been enjoying the Lupo .95, I’m wondering which wolfman is equivalent/equally as smooth, but perhaps more efficient.

That’s a tough one... My .74, .86, and .94 are all OC and only the .94 beats the Lupo on efficiency but none of them are as smooth.

The .94 OC is still probably my favorite non-adjustable DE but I enjoy the blade feel.

I've got the .74 DC, .86 OC, and .94 DC. The .74 is smoothest and plenty efficient, the .86 is not as smooth, but plenty efficient.

I had a hard time figuring out the .94 until recently. Tester 28 let go of a hollow WRH1 @ 90mm and I found a marriage made in heaven between that and the .94.

I'm not familiar with the Lupo, but I'm going to investigate.  Rolleyes

I did a side by side with my Lupo .95 and the WR1 .94. For me the .94 WR1 was smoother and more efficient so I sold the Lupo
