So which razor beats it?

It's a pretty close and subjective call but the H&S P076 Ti, with the new handle and base, is my number 1.

Nice choice. When you say new po76 base, do you mean base plate? Is there a new po76 base plate? Thx

There is, actually, at least in titanium. I believe it's exactly the same as it has been to date except that the lather channels are wider.  For me, this works like a charm; I've no idea why that one change makes a difference but I definitely like this better than the older plate.  And the channels are now awfully wide -- here's a quick shot I just took showing my Wolfman, the P076, and my N075:

Very curious. Has this changed the clamping along the edge of the blade? It looks like rather than clamping fully, it would clamp at each end and in the middle.

Not at all.  These are views from the bottom side. The blade never has touched the bottom plate where the channels are (or there would be no blade gap).  The blade is as clamped as it always has been, a function of the small cap span. I've tried now what I think is every variant of the P076 and the blade is certainly clamped in there.

And to take this all one step further:  the clamping of the blade might be tighter on the H&S than the Wolfman because one thing Aji at H&S does seem to do is keep the cap span really small -- in other words, the blade is clamped way out so little blade is left to be loose.  I really don't know if it makes any real difference because, at least with the WR1, there's not a lot of cap span, as least compared to some others. But comparatively between these two, the P076 has. noticeably less, as you can see below (I put a new Bic Platinum Chrome into each so it is the same blade in each razor) -- the H&S is on the left and the Wolfman is on the right.  (And, no, the blades are not rusty, that's just reflection)

I’ve got a SS Lupo 95 on the way.  I am looking for a comparison between the Lupo 95 and a Wolfman WR1.  Comparisons that I’ve read assume the Lupo 95 should be compared to the WR1 .94 (because it’s said to be a copy) and conclude the WR1 is better.

So, let’s do away with that assumption and reconsider.  Which WR1 most close matches the efficiency  of the Lupo 95?

I haven’t used my .86 WR1 in years but based off my recent comparison to the .94 WR1, I’d say the Lupo 95 is gonna be closer to the .86 in efficiency.

The only differences are very slight increases in efficiency but a palpable increase in blade feel. All produce irritation free shaves for me. I have no desire right now to experiment with anything less than .61. For others that may be different.
So my question is what is best GAP on Wolfman compare to Karve C plate nice and efficient while not being overly agressive.

I’m thinking to get dual Comb .61 and OC .67 maybe this will be similar to Karve Plate C..

Let me know if any suggestions as I’m a mild shaver and use also CG Level 2 Gap which gives me nice shaves..

I’m partial to blade feel and extremely efficient razors but based on my own experiences with the WR1 and WR2, I’d probably steer you more toward a lower gap WR2 instead of the WR1. Reasons being that the WR2 is the smoother and more efficient shaver.

Maybe a 1.05/1.15 WR2? I’d stick with SB on both sides as the WR2 doesn’t really benefit from OC IMO.
