Wr1 61 = wr2 105

Well, I might just have to try a WR1, after all. No way I can know for sure what I like best, if I don’t try it for myself.

I prefer the wr2 but I dislike de blade feel. If someone enjoys the feeling of a de edge, then wr1 would be a good fit.

My preferred WR1 gaps are 0.74 and 0.80, with the WR2 1.15 working best for me. I find the 1.15 blade feel to be similar to the 0.74, but with efficiency between the two. The 0.80 has a bit less blade feel than a H&S P076, very efficient, not scary or anything, but has a bit of blade feel. I love all three and use them interchangeably.

I asked Tara/James that question and they basically said the .48mm WR1 was the closest thing to the .95mm in the WR2.

So I recently picked up a WR2 1.25 and I'm on the fence about how I feel about it. In general, I don't love "sneaky" razors that don't have great feedback so the WR2 may not be a great fit for me.

I'm looking for advice on which head/gap would probably work best for me given the following:

- I don't need to shave every day, but I like the option to so I would want this to be an every day shaver.
- My favorite current "every day" shavers are the Gamechanger .84 and the Karve C plate (SB's).
- I also really like the Paradigm Diamondback, but would love it if it were a hair more efficient.
- I enjoy the CG Lvl2 and Timeless .95, but both are probably a bit too much for me to use every day.

I've been able to try a WR1 .67 and WR1 .74 (both SB's), and while I feel like I like the WR1 head a bit better than WR2, both of these feel a bit to excessive in blade feel and efficiency for every day use. I'm leaning toward trying to get a .61 to try, but would like some input. Those of you who've tried more WR1 gaps, which would you say is most comparable to the GC .84? Is there a WR2 that might be a better fit, other than the 1.25?

I do not like the 1.25 wr2. Too much blade feel for me. I like the 1.05 and 1.15

Wr1 for me was always .61 or .67

I don’t use de anymore but when I did I liked charcoal level 2, karve d plate etc.

Wr1 .67 I would say is the most comparable to the .84 gc. Fantastic razor.

That was my thought too, before I'd tried any of them. Comparing directly, they're close but the WR1 has a good bit more blade feel.

I wonder if it has to do with blade exposure? Does anyone know what the exposure on the .84GC is and how that compares to the WR1 at different gaps?

The wr1 0.67 CC for me is the best of all
