If I had to pick one I honestly don't think I would be able to.
Is the original brushed finish easier to maintain
Than the brushed satin?
The original brushed is the brushed satin finish, just renamed. Basic brush is the new finish.

I currently have WR1 .61 and WR2 1.05. Really interested in the WR1 .80. Can anyone compare this gap with the CG level 3? I found that to have way too much blade feel for my liking. I know they are completely different razors but just curious. I also had. .74 and thought it felt too rough.

Without a doubt for me, way way less blade feel than the CG level 3, gen 1. I could just feel blade but the .80 is a really smooth shave, I don't consider it aggressive. Smoother than the .61 gap. I have only tried OC versions of both WR1 gaps though. Blade is held much tighter with the Wolfman versus the CG obviously. CG level 3 was never truly comfortable for me.

I'm interested to try the .74 at some point down the road as it has the same blade reveal as the .80 gap.

The 0.80 is absolutely incredible. I got mine a couple weeks ago now or so. A touch more blade feel than the 0.74, but just unbelievably smooth, barely any touchups required. The 0.86 was just a bit too much for me, but the 0.80 might be the best razor I've ever used and the 0.74 is right behind it.

I forgot that there was a WR1 thread so thought I'd post here. I just paid my invoice on a WR1 .74 SB. This will be my first Wolfman.

I think Ali meant more exposure but I have the .74 and .80 down as the same amount 0.17 (sorry if mistyped the numbers on my chart, haven't checked back).

I find the .80 very smooth indeed and would expect the .74 to be similar or possibly better with the reduced gap but haven't tried one myself. The .80 is in no way rough (the opposite in fact) and I like very mild gaps, e.g. I own .48 and .54 gaps.

Exactly right Matt.

Placed order form June 25th, must be getting close for me. WR2 didn’t wow me over so going with WR1 .80 this time round. Anyone close to that date get their email yet?
