WR1 Dual Comb .86/.94 arrived today.  One shave done.  I am still trying to process my thoughts, because several things are new to me — first shave with a WR1, first try with this very different handle.

I primarily used the .94 side.  My shave is as close as can be.

I just received a 0.74SB head and I am honestly blown away at how smooth it is. Very efficient without going into the extreme realm and the shave was smooth sailing, not a single worry about any nicks or irritation. I would like to try the 0.80, but I could seriously see the 0.74 being my only razor, it's that good.

I’ve been super busy recently and haven’t been very active on the board. I wanted to share what arrived in the mail this week. A .80 SB WR1 on Darwin handle, it’s a beauty!
I’ve only used it twice but here are my quick takes. I love the handle! The razor as a whole seems very nimble and precise. I wanted a WR1 after my positive experience with the Lupo. I wanted the same great shave feel with more efficiency. I went back and forth on gap and comb style right up to the end. The .80 has been excellent so far. I’ll use my 1.25 WR2 next and compare.

This is a very nice configuration and if i were to get another WR1 at some point I’d be in similar territory. I think and .80SB would suit my preferences well and i can see the WR1 head pairing well with the Darwin. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

This IS the exact razor I will be ordering when my name comes up (hopefully within a month). Just not 100% sure about the finish. This shouldn‘t be a razor I am too scared to touch, but, how will the Darwin handle look with a matt finish? Hmm

.80 SB/Darwin is the exact combination of my first Wolfman. I tried a bunch of others, replaced many, but I still have that one. It’s a great razor. Congrats

LOOT Hello, and hope you’re doing well. My question for you (since you have a vast knowledge of Wolfman) is which WR1 blade gap .80 or .86 feels smoother in comparison? Is the blade feel a big step up or similar? Is efficiency of both .80 & .86 comparable? My goal is to run a daily driver and I want to get it right the first time .

Thank You in advance for your input and sharing your experiences with the community.

From using a WR2 1.25 SB and a WR1 0.86 OC daily or every other day, the WR2 would be just as efficient but I can be more careless with the angle and pressure while still getting the same great shave. Definitely interested in the WR1 0.80 gap. Is OC the wave or should I try the WR1 0.80 in SB?

I find the SB to be smoother with less blade feel, although I do love the OC in the WR1. My 0.74SB has very similar blade feel to the 0.67OC, but with a decent increase in efficiency. The 0.86SB is shockingly smooth for it's efficiency and I can easily use it every other day, I could see a lot of guys getting away with daily use with it.
