Just looking at the site. My daily check it and I noticed the price increased to 500 cad for the complete razor!
Noticed the price increase just now when I checked. Good for him. For his quality of work I have no problem with that price. A Oneblade Genesis V2 in Gunmetal is $499. A Paradigm Ti was about $400 for example so in US dollars James is right in the ballpark he should be in. Just my opinion on the price increase.
I love my Wolfman razor, it’s been the best razor for me. I was planning on adding another but it’s just not worth $500 to me... I’m glad I was able to get one at $340 with the stand as that’s a fair price. That said it’s better for James to cash in on the resale prices than scalpers, he puts a lot of work into each piece and he should be the one profiting from it. I’m sure these will continue to sellout fast.

Prepare for $2500 razors on eBay with speculators being 10 deep in new unused boxes. For sure his razor is worth more than $500 -maybe $800 to my mind.
He can do whatever he wants, obviously BUT if trying to end the speculator game needs to start producing regularly with open communication regarding sales.
Not intimate with James' business model but willing to guarantee his margins are lower based on handwork done regarding finishing

As the saying goes, 90% of the effort goes in after the job is 90% complete. James's attention to detail goes beyond what is required to make a great razor; you are really paying for the artistry. So maybe as razors go, they are not worth the price for many, but for the beholder it's a different story. It's really a case of whatever people are willing to pay.
I'm sure, a Wolfman razor is a piece of art in itself and also a great shaver. This much I assume as I never had one. I suppose owners have bought not just for the shaving ability but for the exclusivity and finish. My Paradigm 17-4 shaves equally well if not better ( according to comparative reviews) and I too cannot fault its finish, materials used, or looks.
Therefore I again assume that the premium price is paid mostly for exclusivity. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to make fun of owners, just to understand, because a razor however well made and exclusive it is, it cannot be displayed in a glass cabinet for people to adore. It's confined to the vicinity of the bathroom.
Again with all due respect.
