It was only open for 3 or 4 minutes. Now I can get some work done. Ha! Anyway, you still have a few weeks to wait before ordering again. Did you use the 86 for the 2nd day in a row?

Do you notice much difference in SB and OC? The 86OC is a little much for my face. 80OC however, I do enjoy very much. 86SB is a dream and I'm getting much more confident with it. It's by no means mindless, but it's not scary either. Keep me posted on your thoughts and preferences for blade choice.

Well just had my first shave with my first wolfie--.086 DC-- very very  smooth and close and absolutley worth the price from James.

Congrats on the new tool! The 86 is surprisingly smooth. Tell me how you like the handle. Also, compare it to some other razors in your stable. Please. I'm interested in your thoughts.

James-- I don't find the OC too much for my face. I did get a little closer shave the 1st time with the SB than I did today with the O.C.,but I think it was due to my prep not being as good. I was more rushed today than the other day. The .086 I find has no irritation for me, even with buffing, which I always do. Sometimes I feel the CG3 gets a little too much for my face and if I use a little too much pressure, the Blackbird O.C will give me a little irritation, but after 2 shaves, I can say so far the >086 is not a problem.

Beisler, based on experience with these and bbs, if you like 0,86DC Wolfman, BBS1 is NOT for you

Is that because the BBS-1 is more mild?

Also James I just saw your question about blades. I use 3 blades only--Feather, Kai and Gillette Plats. I used the gillette platinum on the SB side and a kai today on the OC side. I will use a feather next, and based on my experience, will probably like that the best. What blades do you like?

I find the 86 smoother with a GSB or Astra. I did use a Kai in it the past 2 days and really liked it. It's been a while since I used a Gillette Platinum Plus....now I have to dig them put.

I like Polsilver in my 86 and 94. I use the OC side for my first pass WTG then switch to SB side for XTG

Mark-- That was my thinking also. I will probably settle in to the O.C on WTG and SB XTG also.

I find the wr1 to not be very particular. Most blades work well. Some excellent performers for me include

Wizamet and pol silver
Astra SS and SP
Gillette Yellows
Kai
