I have always thought of that as well...... fotunately I was able to buy a used wolfman wr1 at a decent price (standard gap sb). And after 2 weeks of shaving with it, I realized most of the wolfman mystique its just the low availability factor. Shave-wise the timeless provides 3x smoother shaves and no irritation. I already sold back to the wolfman without any markup.

I might try an wr2 if I ever get an opportunity but now I will approach it as any other regular razor, because that’s exactly what is.
You just have the wrong gap Wolfman my friend. You, like me, love the T95. A STD gap Wolfman would certainly leave you underwhelmed. We need to put an 80 or 86 in your hand

It's a full time gig. All he does is make razors. The release dates are pretty infrequent as you noted. He custom builds every razor he sells.

Not just a hobby of course! He's full time on razors but he does everything by himself, including the polishing. And if you have ever tried to mirror polish a razor you'd know it takes a while. I too love the Timeless 0.95, and I started with a WR1 0.67, then moved up to 0.74 and 0.86. Then finally settled for 0.80. The Wolfman gives a fantastic shave, that's for sure. As stated above, you got the wrong gap for your skin/stubble....

I agree. It is like the hot girl that you want to date and find out later it is just meh. My $18 Fatip Gentile gives a better shave.

I think you guys definitely have the wrong gaps but there is nothing wrong with feeling the way you do. Everyone has a different opinion. I had my Timeless DC .95 and my Charcoal Goods DC L3 ahead of my Wolfman DC .74......until I got my Wolfman WR2 DC 1.25. Hands down, that razor is the best on the planet! Now I will shoot for a Wolfman titanium WR1 DC with a .80 or .86 blade gap and then I will be satisfied for life!

My question now is how does the scent of the post shave interacts/interferes with the scent of the soap?  Does it linger at all?  One thing I truly enjoy is enjoying the soaps scent from my shave throughout the day.

For those who are using the post shave serum, if you could please give your feedback not only on how it performs for you but also how the scent plays with a soaps scent.

wrong thread?

Thanks to LOOT I have been able to try his WR2 1.25 for the last few days. Today I did a side by side shave with it against my WR1 .94. Both are SS and dual comb OC/SB. As expected the WR2 Finish is perfect and mirror like.
Pre-Shave Hot Shower
Soap Mammoth
Blade Feather 2nd use
Brush Elite Manchurian
Captain’s Choice Copper Bowl
AS Thayers & Grooming Dept Lavender
I had about 60 hours since my last shave so I could see how these 2 compared
First Pass
I used the Open Comb side of both razors and went WTG. Extremely smooth and very efficient first pass. Slight edge to the WR2 in smoothness and a slight edge to the WR1 in efficiency. After a quick rinse I was at DFS Just a small noticeable closer shave on the neck and jawline with the 94 WR1
Second Pass
I switched to the SB side and went ATG on my face and jawline and XTG on my neck. The WR2 was noticeably smoother ATG when I was working on my upper lip and around my mouth, but both gave a very comfortable nick free shave. I did a rinse a feel around and I was BBS on both sides. I needed only a one stroke touchup on the WR2 side just under my jawline.
These are 2 magnificent razors and for me they perform better when I have a couple of days growth vs my daily shave. The 94 seemed slightly more efficient and the WR2 gets the nod for being slightly smoother. I would place the 1.25 between my .86 and .94 WR1. Thanks James for letting me try the WR2

That looks like a great shave my friend. I'm glad you enjoyed it and you are welcome, sir. Half the fun of having them is having good friends to share them with. Your experience with those 2 two beauties mirrors mine. exactly. Thanks for the confirmation. Cant' go wrong with either...or both.
