I wouldn't go less than the standard .61 gap. I don't think anything less would be very efficient. I find the .61 gap to be relatively mild, so I don't think you would have any issues with it. I prefer OCs, so I would say go with the OC. I have the #2 handle and it has a decent grip, but I still put a little alum on my fingers when I use it to give a little extra grip. I mainly use a UFO Colibri with my Wolfman though because it's a little lighter and gives it a better balance.

The 80 is almost as efficient and a Timeless 95OC scalloped but not as smooth.

The next Wolfman I order will be another 80, but more likely the 86SB.

I'll get back to you on handles. 2 I don't have is the 2 and 7. They are in route tho. Should be here Friday. I'll take a picture of them all side by side so you know relative lengths. My favorite, so far, is the 3. It has lots of high polished surface area. Just a beauty.

The 7 could change my mind if it's on the longer side.

Unless you ordered a custom length, all his handles are 100mm Smile. I had a WRH7 and currently have 2 WRH2's. WRH2 is by far my favorite handle. Loving my .74 gaps so I'll need to try the .80 and .86!

My WRH1 is 85mm and wasn’t custom

Hm I swore when I spoke with James last we said they were all the same length. Eh, now you make me wonder how long my WRH2 is lol

I did get mine about a year and a half ago from James, so maybe it’s changed? I could be wrong but I believe the WRH1 and WRH2 standard size is 85mm and the WRH3 and WRH7 is 100mm.

Here are the 4 I have.  WRH1, WRH3, and Darwin.  Best I can tell they are 90mm (3.54") and 95mm (3.75") varieties.  There is a slight, maybe 1mm, difference in the two WRH3 handles.

I'll try and revisit this, if anyone cares, when the WRH2 and WRH7 show up later this week.

I have the WRH1, 2, and 7, and they are all 85mm. The WRH1 is definitely the grippiest of the three, but the WRH2 is my personal favorite. I really enjoy the WRH7 as well, but it has the least grip out of the three. The WRH7 screams Wolfman to me, an original.

I don’t own the Rockwell, so I can’t compare blade gaps. I have a SB in .67 and .74, and OC’s in .67 and .74. With the right Blade they are all smooth and efficient, the OC’s have a little more Blade feel and I think they are a touch more efficient.

Edit- I can also add a picture of them all together if it would be helpful to you

Please do. It will be interesting to see if there are different lengths amongst the same model. Hopefully, OP will not mind.

I’ll try to get a Pic of all of them together later without the stands to get a better idea of how they compare to one another.

Here they are standing next to one another without the stands. The WRH1 is a touch shorter than the WRH 2 and 7, and the BBS-1 is a touch taller than the WRH 2 and 7. Hope this helps.
