Let's say if this person is not satisfied with this copper razor for whatever reason, and decides to sell it, is it still worth $2000 or in this case does the pricing have to be adjusted moreso for a "buyer's market" at this point?

I say it's your razor and your price. I also think it's the buyers money and their decision to buy or not, simple to me.

It's worth what someone will pay for it, just as it was in the auction.   Which could be less than the purchased price.

Could be less than the purchased price? Not uncommon but yikes!

Im sure the guy who bid to win knew exactly what he was getting...I doubt one is in a mood
to experiment at that level.

AND polished copper .... AND a Darwin handle .... Not my preference, but that might be a holy grail for some people, and I'm a bit surprised it didn't go for more....

Last year someone on DFS put up a brass, or bronze .61 SB WR1 with a Darwin handle for about $750 USD if I remember correctly. 

I would have wanted it had it been a 0.74 or better, and was even tempted with the 0.61, but I don't particularly want to spend more $$ on yet another high dollar razor.

As far as the guy who was the 'lucky' winner getting his money out of it should he decide to sell it ... maybe, maybe not. 

I remember what SS BBS-1s were going for on the bay after John Brown announced the list was defunct and James wasn't making any more. 

Big $ to begin with, but it tapered off after a few months. Not that a SS BBS-1 still won't bring a big buck, just not what it was when they were 'hot.'

I had one of three BBS 1 prototypes but sold it years ago. It would be probably be worth a couple of grand now. I remember when James was selling complete razors for usd 175. Those were the days. Now James is making a mint of money with his auctions which cost him practically nothing to run. If he sold razors on eBay he would have to pay a 15% premium.
