Wizamets on the Bay

I've seen a lot of knockoffs on the bay lately. Have you checked the printing on the blade on this delivery Dave from MD ?
I know regular Polsilver SI are seeing lots of knockoffs but not sure if the Wiz are.

Can anyone summarise what's going on? Has wizashave moved stateside?
I love the stash of 1,000 I got from Morocco via them earlier.
Wouldn't mind getting another couple thousand and not worrying about which blade to buy
any longer

Apparently still selling from Morocco but has a distribution location in New York apparently which is where my extra 500 came from last week. These have a P&G logo on them so I'm hoping they shave the same. I'll post pics of the 2 for comparison of boxing differences. In the pics the carton on the right is always the original purchase from Wizashave previously. I notice an ebay seller stating Arabic version and can see that writing on the P&G current ones............

Yes, I remember reading about this... I think it might have been the guy selling via the wizashave.com website posting on Instagram in response to people asking if they were genuine blades.
He said that the old edition blades had the “circled R” as the registered trademark symbol (on the blade, and on the boxes, etc), and were wrapped in white paper. Those are no longer available and have been replaced by the blades with TM, wrapped in paper with “IRIDIUM super” writings on it.
He said they were exactly the same blades, made in the St Petersburg factory in Russia, and all genuine.

He’s based in Morocco and used to ship all the packages from there. Had quite a lot of trouble with packages going to US during the peak of the COVID-19 period, so stopped taking orders from the US for a while. And then somehow managed to find a way to send inventory to NY and all US orders are now being shipped from there, I believe. And from Morocco if shipping to anywhere else in the world.

Interestingly, there is now another Moroccan seller, via wizablades.com, who has slightly lower prices, especially if buying multiple 250 packs.
I purchased only one pack from him, and they seem to be exactly the same blades. I’ve used a couple from that pack, and they appear genuine, shave exactly the same.
But I saw a few people (mostly in Australia, on a different forum), commenting that they had big delays in their packages being shipped, and quite poor communication from the seller....
Luckily my package from wizablades took about the same time to arrive from Morocco as a package sent by wizashave earlier at the beginning of the year, so didn’t have any problems.

On Ebay, there are (2) primary sellers of the big packs (500)

dromashop (212 ) 97.8% positive feeback at $80 for 500

hdini-trbeh-robini (59 )  100% Positive feedback at $79.99 (lol) for 500

Wizamet is also on Ebay but with the same deal -- $49.99 for 250

I went ahead and contacted Wizamet via their site to see if they would match the $80 for 500, though i'm not optimistic, so i was curious if any of the members have purchased the (500) pack option from either of the above Ebay sellers with good results recently.

Yes, a small group of wet shavers have convinced themselves via collective "hive" thinking that the Polsilver/Wizamet blade is somehow better than Gillette's "flagship" DE blade, the Platinum. I encourage this as it keeps the price down on the latter.

I know you mean well, but i feel like you are kinda trolling this thread. There have been users here that have found the Wizamet/Polsilver to perform better than Gillette Platinum, and as always, YMMV.

I do see one seller on Ebay, razorbladesclub (7033 ) 99.6% Positive feedback selling 1k of the Gilette Platinums for $130, so the price would be equivalent, if not lower than the Wizamets so it would come down to preference at this point.
