These will be great in any razor....but in an efficient one, they'd be just fantastic.
The smoothness of the blade coupled with the smoothness of a high gap WR2 head geometry is a seductive combination.
Need to get some more soon when budget allows..

But I think they are original and it is just the glue has worn out after all these years. Why I say this is because I am getting the same smell from the box that I used to get from Russian made goods that my Dad used to buy from Russians as a business man after the partition of Soviet Union. It is a long story but I used to get these ex- soviet products(electronic, mechanical) in 90s, it is really amazing to smell same thing after 20 yrs. lol. Nostalgic!

Tomorrow morning shave with my wolfman will tell Smile

From my understanding, the glue spots are quite inconsistent. My older packs which I received 4-6 years ago, don't have large glue spots. Maybe, you guys have a 'newer' batch. Regardless, if you can get 7-10 comfortable shaves (or more, as I have ventured into 15 shaves, a few times) with the blades, then you know they are original.
I hope you enjoy the blades. Smile

The way that these blades have been described made me think of Personna '74s so I tracked some down. I am very impressed by how sharp and smooth they are. 9 shaves on the first blade using my Feather AS-D2 and I'm blown away by the performance. I've almost completely switched to SE shaving and I sold off all of me DEs except the AS-D2, but this blade makes me want start using my DEs again.

This is so interesting to me. I tried my best to like an AS-D2 that I bought from friend Obie. I shaved with it a half dozen times before I gave up in frustration. It just didn't deliver the goods for me. So it is yet another example of YMMV as applied to wet shaving.

Now I went ahead and ordered one pack of Wizamets from the ebay/Oregon guy, with the discount code furnished by Max. I figure I've got over 1,500 blades, predominantly Feathers, Gillettes, and a few other brands, all in packs of 100. So 250 Wizamets ought to go a long way, seeing I'm going to be 71 years old the end of the month ... if I make it.  Rolleyes

See I don't particularly care for Polisilvers. I have a 100 pack I've been working out of. Maybe 3 shaves per blade, many times I dump a blade after 2 shaves. If it starts to be less than smooth and sharp I don't see why I should endure the discomfort. Anyway, I have high hopes for the incoming Wizamets.

Friend Tony, I don't know if you're referring to my mention of Polisilvers above, but I wasn't saying they were the 'same thing' since I've never shaved with a Wizamet. I'm hoping they're a lot better.

Just as I can't get an acceptable shave with a AS-D2, I don't get more than 3 uses out of any blade. Not just Polisilvers. With some it is 2, others 1 ! Anyway, I look forward to receiving these, and hope my results mirror that of others.

Jimmy, I'm nearly certain he's referring to another member that plainly stated they are the same. I'm a longtime Polsilver user and they are NOT the same blade. My face knows the difference. Of course YMMV as for how they will do for you. I hope they are a success for you  Happy2

No No Jimmy... there was a guy back on Page 18 that was deriding us... Saying it was irrational Hyperbole... that it's proven the same blade... Etc.

I don't know about all that, but I've Scientifically tested over 30 different blades in the same razor, same amt of beard growth same heat towels, Brush, Cream etc... and My Finding was that These, Feel completely different, and are on another level of shapeness/Smoothness than the Polsilvers... Being this is being more brought out as more and more get there Wizo Blades I was wondering where he was now...

Sorry for the confusion, I didn't mean any offense Happy2

Thanks, Tony

AND BTW: I only use blades for a Max of 3 Shaves or that's 9 passes. A lot of blades show an Increase in sharpness after the 1st Shave, and maintain at least the First shave level on the 3rd Use, But since that don't divulge the Condition of the 4th, 5th, 6th, Etc I figure why mess around... One of my Faves are the Astra SP, and @ 9 Cents a Blade that's 3 cents a Shave, I can pamper myself, and use a new blade every 3 days or so at that price! LOL!

And Even with that I have a Razor / Blade UV & Hot Air Drier to avoid any Oxidation or Corrosion in between shaves! Happy2
