I’m tired of finding online groups hard-managed by an uncompromising staff.

Like you, I have found some other forums that were quite dictatorial. I stopped using one forum because of such practices. The owners of that forum would not tolerate any negative feedback. They would ban you immediately.

However, I have not found that on DFS. The staff here has been most gracious. For that I am very thankful.

I would second this. DFS admins rock . They are always there to support members afterall we are one big family .

I agree with other's. I have not been a member here for very long, but there are 4 things I've noticed since I came here.

#1 DFS has very nice people on the site, who are fun to communicate with.

#2 DFS seems to be run in a tolerant way, and as such, is not moderated by a sledge hammer approach.

#3 DFS doesn't seem to be profit motivated, so its not full of obtrusive ads forcing you to become a contributor just to be able to use the site.

#4 DFS seems to be nice and relaxed here, which I like.

Confused2 I can't tell from the screenshot exactly what rule you were supposed to have broken. Huh

I hang out on a few different forums. Some are not shave related. One has taken a big dive and many of the top members have moved on to a different forum and the first one is almost a ghost town. I will just say the two are Corvair Forums. If you know them you know what Im saying. And if you know them than hello to you my rear engine brother.   Big Grin

If there are 277k members, and you get banned, I don't think the problem is with the forum.

Just saying.

I recently got a banned notification on a forum I'm not active on much,. The forum is not a shaving forum but deals with lawn type business. Apparently I was accused of breaking the rules with more than 1 account which wasn't true.
After several massages to them with no response they finally  responded and told me my supposed 2nd online name. I ask for the email associated with it and was told they could give out that information. Lol I told the it is supposed to be my email so you can't give me my own email.
Finally they umbanned my acct. of this false accusation.
Not sure what was going on, it was squirrely though.
