Essentially aren’t all knots hand tied?
I mean, even paladin who you referenced as having a great product, simply glues Chinese made hand tied knots into a handle. How wiborg any different? I have no dog in this “fight” but I’m just curious. What is the “hand-tied effect”?

The allure
Of wiborg is a hand tied knot is it not ?
Actually it is also it’s availability.
Do you think Lee Sabini makes all his knots or orders them from China ??
You think people will pay $800 for the same knot you can get from Shavemac, or paladin or even on Alibaba ?
At least Paladin is transparent.

Honestly after using I don’t know what the allure is. At least the allure to the point that folks spend 5-800 dollars on one. I believe it has to be the scarcity and the FOMO factor on these. There are simply as nice or better handles and knots out there for a fraction of the secondary market prices.
No I’m positive m&f buys knots from China. I don’t own any of their brushes as I don’t find them that spectacular.
All these old wives tales about Florian buying knots from China wholesale and just glueing them in a handle
are basically unsubstantiated bollocks....if he was, then there would be no difference between his brushes and
the rubbish on Alibaba. This is just hearsay circulated by folks who didn't know for sure...or suffering from the I cant
get one, so Im gonna shit all over it syndrome.
As to bleaching or whatever, there is a very high probability that all badger hair is treated in some way....I doubt they just
shear the animal and stick those hairs in a brush. The Samurai LE brush is also touted as having gel and hooked tips...is that a by-product
of bleaching? Who really knows and who cares? No-one ever brought it up as an issue on that release. There's so much misinformation
and half baked info on this subject, from self appointed experts.

Shavemac...China? Huh? Here's a shavemac knot. It's totally different looking than a Chinese knot. Note how there's no glue plug on the bottom (like you find on Chinese knots). Reference this against the pics on the Varlet, Black Eagle, etc. sites and you'll see the similarities.
