LØTHUR GROOMING - AMIGOS - ARTISAN SHAVING SOAP

Exclusively for The Razor Company

Description:

Three men walk into a bar. The barman tells them, "If you can sit in my basement for a day, I'll give you free beer forever." The first man walks out after five minutes and says, "It's impossible, you have a swarm of flies in there." So the second man tries his luck, but can't take more than an hour. Finally, the third man goes down. When he returns a day later, the others ask him how he did it. He says, "Easy! I took a dump in one corner and sat in the other corner!"

While I normally really like TRC, IMHO they blew it with this one.

What?!?!

I simply had to go and look. Not that I don't trust you, but that is completely outrageous!

Not only would I not buy that soap, I'd seriously reconsider buying anything from the mind(s) that came up with that description. Crazy!

Well, after that terrible joke, at least they did provide the actual description of the scent notes and the soap ingredients.
It is supposed to be inspired by Tom Ford Ombre Leather with scent notes:  Suede accord, Sandalwood Accord, Velvet Accord. Fruity Floral Accord, Musk and Jasmin.

The joke is in poor taste and seems to imply that the soap smells like excrement. That is not how I want my soap to smell.
Not only would I not purchase this soap, but I would not purchase any soap from Lothur Grooming as I question the artisan's common sense.

The Razor Company should have had enough sense to reject the extraneous description. so they are partially to blame.

While I have to concur with the sentiment above, it sounds like this might be some inside joke with three collaborators on this. I did not watch the whole video but this is what I gather from the intro, which included a retelling of the joke.

As usual, you are spot on ! I watched the video and read the description on line. I'm a big fan of TRC. However, very disappointed with this unprofessional presentation. Poor taste imo.

Great to see you back my friend Smile Smile

"Sold Out" may well mean that the soap has not yet arrived at The Razor Company for sale, so they are not yet available for sale.. I doubt that it means all the soaps received have already been sold.

I will say I know Jason very well as we’ve  become not only business associates but god friends and he’s a good man an honestly I’m not sure he realizes the implications of this. I’m going to call him tomorrow and ask him the details about this.

I can also say he and I talked about a Tom Ford Ombre Leather  calibration and then when I sent the Rendezvous his way  he changed his mind and went with that so I guess it was still on his mind.

On a personal level not business I honestly don’t see a connection between the TF Ombré Leather and the joke but that’s just me.

I don’t like Løthur soap’s scents, but this description has diminished my opinion of TRC.

Dragonsbeard never interrupt your competition when they are making a mistake.  If that is how Lothur wants to be marketed… step aside and watch.
