The new base removes those ingredients in order to lower the price of the soap and adapt to market prices, now we have a $20 soap that I really can't even say it beats the competition that is in that price range, I hope the siero base doesn't disappear, it would be a real shame as I consider it the best on the market in terms of skin care.

I agree with you on this. Siero Base is the best I’ve ever used and the one I judge other Soaps on. I have Amber Bomba, the scent is amazing, and the Soap Base is very good, but it’s not Siero level in my opinion. I’m really happy to hear that Sri is keeping Siero around. I would rather pay more for a Soap of this quality and performance. I’m spoiled these days, and I have a hard time reaching for a Soap that isn’t truly top tier in all aspects.

Nice.

On the product pages, I've read the fragrance description:
  • Amber Bomba
Amber, Vanilla, Labdanum, Honey, Cinnamon, Tonka Bean, Caramel, Patchouli.
  • Inizio
Neroli, Saffron, Cashmeran, Tonka Bean, Oakmoss, Juniper, Vanilla, Musk, Sandalwood.
  • Tim Jr.
Geranium, Lavender, Oakmoss, Tonka Bean, Oud, Sandalwood, Rum, Vanilla, Tobacco, Cinnamon.
Can you share the fragrance pyramid of each?
I'm very sensitive to some notes, as Tonka Bean.

Less water makes the soap concentrated and a little goes a long way.
Less water is good. But it always comes first.
Does that mean this paste is thicker?

You would get exceptional post shave too that is a direct result of these processes.
You mean lather or soap?
Do you have any suggestions to optimize the mounting technique?
I love the idea of an exceptional outcome.

Fermentation brings out acids that is good for exfoliation, moisturization, etc.
Such as lactic acid and other goodies that are great for our skin.
Can this be uncomfortable for those with sensitive skin?
I’m asking you, having chronic seborrheic dermatitis myself.
Some products that change the pH of the skin bother me.

Post shave products of the three models have not this concept / technology. (fermented Crème Fraîche)
Can there be a greater advantage in incorporating the effect into products that remain on the skin?

I apologize for bombing questions.
But this news has made me very curious.

Fragrance pyramid:

Amber Bomba- Top notes: Amber, Vanilla, Honey Middle notes: Cinnamon, Tonka bean Base notes: Caramel, Labdanum, Patchouli.

Inizio - Top notes: Neroli, Saffron, Middle notes: Juniper, Tonka bean, Oakmoss Base notes: Cashmeran, Vanilla, Musk, Sandalwood.

Tim Jr. - Top notes: Geranium, Lavender Middle notes: Rum, Vanilla, Tobacco, Cinnamon Base notes: Oud, Sandalwood, Oakmoss, Tonka bean

Does that mean this paste is thicker?

The soap is much more concentrated than our other bases. A little goes a long way in getting to a creamier and thick lather. It takes a lot of water too. Water is listed first due to the lye solution. We can do this with other solvents but that is for another day and another base.

You mean lather or soap?

I meant the lather. Soap itself has a pearlescent look on top.

I would load it as one would do with any other soap. Just know that it only takes a wee bit of the soap to get a working lather. The soap usage would also depend on the brush type and presence of water in the brush.  Some of us need more lather due to habits, the way we shave etc.

Can this be uncomfortable for those with sensitive skin?

It should work fine for people with sensitive skin. Any kind of irritation would come from the fragrance ingredients and not the soap itself.

Can there be a greater advantage in incorporating the effect into products that remain on the skin?

Once the soap residue is rinsed off after the shave, I could feel the suppleness of the skin while applying a post shave product or even by just applying water to test the properties of the soap itself.

Hope this is clear. Apologies for the delayed response!!

When Sri says a little goes a long way he’s not kidding. I’ve been scooping and bowl lathering lately and I scooped the same amount of Amber Bomba that I normally do with other soaps and my lather bowl was overflowing by the time I’d worked the lather to where I wanted. Prolific.

I've used a sample of Amber Bomba the last two days and I'm impressed. Excellent scent and soap base!

I recently got my hands on Siero for the first time, it’s been on the top of the list of bases I’ve wanted to try for a little while now. Thoroughly impressed with the first couple shaves, but now this darn Crème Fraiche situation has me intrigued again… it’s a vicious cycle isn’t it  Cry
