Thanks for the heads-up on this! Looks like Joe got feedback and made a more aggressive/larger gap version of the baseplate. Will have to look into this!
MJ90 pros: Excellent craftsmanship, unique handle design.
MJ90 cons: Grossly inefficient, excessively mild. I could see maybe using it for a head shave.
Functionally, the razor sucks, and it's not much better than trying to shave without a blade. I never thought I'd say that about a RazoRock razor. Italian Barber remains my top choice for shaving products, however.

It looks like the new base plate is out for this razor. The complete razor with the mild base plate and the more efficient "A" base plate is here: Complete MJ-90 Razor w/2 base plates
And, just the "A" base plate here: RazoRock MJ-90 Base Plate "A" only
I'm curious what folks will think of the new more efficient base plate. It seems like most people found the original MJ-90 too mild.

Before I got this razor, I would say I don't like mild razor and I would agree that this is a very mild cutting razor. I wanted to ask what blades you have tried to use with it and how many days growth are/were you trying it with?
I have used it many times, usually with a Feather. It's too mild for my taste. This is because it is so mild that it makes you want to use too much pressure and/or make too many strokes to eliminate stubble. Maybe for younger man with a thinner beard it would be good. Part of me wants to try the more aggressive head but even at the low price I think I'll wait for some reviews.

Yes. Like a Rockwell 6S with baseplate 4. A favorite of mine now, along with the 6S, Progress, and Weber.
