However, the MJ-90 is so mild that I found it to be somewhat inefficient.
Same experience with mine, I even changed the blade from a vintage Gillette Platinum to a Feather mid-shave and didn't make difference at all.
Ditto for me on my first shave with it this morning and three passes with a new Astra. Nice-looking, yes; mild, yes; efficient, no. I got an okay shave; somewhere between SAS and DFS, I'd say.
It would be a good first razor for someone new to safety razors, I think, but it didn't blow me away with its performance.
