Evan Williams Single barrel is on sale locally $18 to $20. Retail around $26. Currently sipping on a glass. I noticed the new label deleted aged 10 years. Current bottle from 2012, prior bottle from 2010. Larceny around $25 and normally available (until the recent reviews). Buffalo Trace is a favorite and $28. If it helps, Buffalo Trace is the parent for Pappy, Stagg, Weller. Blanton's, E.H. Taylor, etc.

The best bourbon/whisky bar closed last year. Knowledgeable staff and 1oz or 2oz pours. Great way to sample.

Absolutely agreed with trying new liquor stores. Sometimes you can walk into a little shop you’ve driven by for years and never entered and find some gems. You never know what you’ll come across.

This week, I picked up a bottle of Evan Williams BIB (White Label) for $16 and I can wholeheartedly echo what many more experienced reviewer have said, it’s not super complex but it’s got all the classic bourbon notes and is a fantastic 100 proof sipper. Yeah, I recently learned that about Buffalo Trace when I asked a few people why their stuff is so hard to find.

Speaking of Weller, I hope to be able to find a bottle of the new Weller Single Barrel they just announced. I probably won’t find it but it’s something to hunt for.

That’s too bad about the bourbon/whisky bar closing, I’d have thought something like that would do reasonably well.

Scotch: HIGHLAND PARK 18.
( I used to be able to afford it. Now I can afford the 12 year old. Still pretty good. )

My absolute favorite was a bottle they stocked on a Viking River Cruise on the Danube about 2 years ago.

Lo and behold, for the $160 Silver liquor package deal, they had included 2 Limited Highland Park Warrior Series---and some fine McCallans.

The HIGHLAND PARK THORIN AND RAGNAROK( I think). I looked up thes rare bottles and they were sold for about $1200 dollars ( checked the prices at London Heathrow airport)

So throughout the trip my wife and I must have had a bottle of each. We two and ONE other passenger on the boat were only ones drinking it!! My wife loved it and doesn't even drink Scotch. It was out of this world. The wife said to please get a bottle......that is until the Heathrow clerk brought out the $1200 bottle. A Solid silver FLASK came with it as a gift.

Needless to say, we didn't buy it.

AND.....the Viking Cruise line DISCONTINUED those for future trips. ( someone had made a mistake when ordering Scotch).

If I find some I’ll definitely send some your way bro.

Have you watched the bourbon documentary “Neat”? It’s great.

Hey thanks so much!

Just finishing up what’s left in my Glencairn now and it was an absolutely amazing pour. Looking forward to tasting this bottle as it opens up. Cheers!

[Image: zWm1XIe.jpg]Throughout our quarantine we bought many of the GOT scotches and have thoroughly enjoyed all of them, except the Johnny Walker which we are yet to crack
