As you can see, I walk the talk ? but I can’t get a bottle of Blanton’s up here.

Now that’s a man that loves his Old Tub. I can get Blanton’s in my area but it’s like $90 now which is just too much IMO.
Blantons it about 65+tax when in stock here (PA LCB controls all liquor sales here).  Eagle Rare 10yr is about 36+tax when it’s there for 1 hour.

I used to get Blanton’s for 100 a bottle in MA, for friends when there for work… not any longer.

And I buy old tub by the case. In the summer I tend to drink BT and Basil Hayden.

Great pickups, Dave. I haven’t tried the Old Tub but I’ve heard it’s a great bottled in bond for the price. The Russell’s 10 year is a classic. Regarding the Russell’s Reserve 13 Year, this will be the third year they’ve released it and I’ve never seen one my entire time hunting for it. I’ve tried pours of it at a bar and it was incredible, easily one of the best pours I’ve ever had. Hopefully we can both track down a bottle this year!

If you like that Russell’s 10 year, definitely recommend the Russell’s Single Barrel 110 proof version. Cheers!

Thanks but suggested retail is $150....I'll keep the 10 Year in mind too, thanks

Yeah, that 13 Year is a special bottle so they raised the price but the Russell’s Single Barrel can be found for $60-$70 and some of the older store picks can be better than the 13 year from what I’ve heard.

WOW, this Old Tub is nice. Not complex. A simple flavor that comes on strong at 1st and transforms to a sweet oak and then vanilla almost Carmel like. Nice sipper.

It’s sweet but what a bargain at 18 bucks!  I literally buy it by the case.  smokes70turned me onto it.

Tonight I dragged the handle of BT out.  I really enjoy it too.  Once I’m done with this I have a 9 year knob 120 open, then it’s Old Tub time!

That Knob Creek 120 Proof is easily one of the best available barrel proof bourbons and a steal at around $50!

$24 here but still worth it for sure. I am so jealous when I hear what others pay for the same stuff. And I'm here where it's made.....actually visited most of the Distilleries on the Bourbon Trail.

Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.
