That has the to be one of the strongest peat Scotches I’ve ever tried. Flavor wise.

A little too much for me.

What is your favorite Islay?

This is the only one that I have tried as it seems to be the one everyone recommends and I've gotten accustomed to it as I've gotten near the end of the bottle is all I can say. First time I had a dram, all I could say is it was like taking a glass of water and dumping an ashtray in it and stirring LOL. I am clearly a bourbon guy  Happy2

This is my favorite so far

Unfortunately it’s a little too spendy for me to be an everyday sipper.

Great bottle. My favorite daily reach. Really good corn whiskey. I strongly recommend this one gents. [kentucky raised with 40 years of bourbon through the liver].

I had a couple of pours of it last night. It’s pretty smooth stuff.

If you enjoy wild turkey bourbon. You should give this one a try.

I’ve only tried the cask strength version and it’s fantastic. I think it’s better than the vast majority of American ryes.

It's looks like it packs quite a punch. I'm not all that familiar with the Premium Rye offerings but thanks I will look for it next time I'm in. The entry level Alberta Premium seems to be reasonable well thought of so I pick it up once in a while for a change. I've been meaning to try the local Forty Creek Distillery but just haven't gotten around to it. They seem to put out a few variations from time to time at a reasonable price.

I'm more of a scotch man myself and for the most part quite happy with a blend over ice. When I was much younger I used to have more of a taste for the peated Islay malts nowadays I wouldn't refuse it if offered by would much rather purchase a Highland malt.
