Recently ordered a whipped dog synthetic brush 30mm knot  its huge, dense and with very soft tips.
I use painting strokes to make the lather cause the brush don't splay too much ,but I love the brush. I
shave my head so for me its perfect because covers lot of area fast.

My first post , just sharing my experience with WD brush.

You can never go wrong with whipped dog... Have now 4 of the 30mm synthetic knots... Call them the grizzly bears

1. 1 With standard whipped dog handle
2. 2 knots sent to peter wolf (wolf whiskers for custom handles )
3. 1 knot sent to Brad Sears and he is currently crating a handle as we speak. :Smile

Much much much recommended.. And lather extremely well.. One of the softest brushes to the face.
Also have the 24mm , extremely good !!

Attached are one of wolf  whiskers brushes handles with 300 mm whipped dog synthetic knotIt was quite difficult to set a handle for 30mm.. But he pulled one beautifully.

I bought the 24mm awhile back for my daughter and she loves it. She says using it is the best part of shaving her legs.

I have the 30mm synthetic also and I love it. It is a lather monster and holds just about the same water as my Simpsons Chubby 2. I also have a 30mm Silver Tip and a 24mm High Mountain Badger from them. Love them all!

I want a wd 30mm silvertip. But i want it with back bone not too floppy . That depends on how deep the knot is ? Any recommendations?

I would ask them to set the knot a little deeper than standard. They charge a little extra for that service  Also ask them what they recommend the loft should be for more backbone. The brush I have has just the right amount of backbone for my liking and it was their standard loft. Good Luck.

Send Larry an email and chat with him about your preferences and thoughts on your current brushes and he'll help you figure it out. That's what I did.
