Which blade did you use today?

Well many of you know how I have been going on and on about how the SilverMax (rebranded EuroMax) platinum coated half DE blades never wear out? Well-they wear out.

I got a last minute invitation from my neighbor to go to a jazz performance so I needed a quick shave. I had a one day beard, and figured that I could get away with a quick two pass SE shave. Boy was I wrong. I lathered up some Cella Crema Professionale soap with a hot badger brush end went to town with the first pass AGT. Wow......drag, drag, drag. Then the second pass XTG better but still draggy. Shave wasn't close so a quick third clean up pass. It was OK as my friend and I are not that close (if you know what I mean). Today is the next day and it is almost as if I had not shaved yesterday.

Lesson learned, blade changed.

What is interesting about this is that a dull blade does perfectly fine on a clean up pass after a double pass SR shave.
