When replying with Quote I get old quotes showing up in reply

Not sure what the deal is but when I try to reply to someone and quote them I keep getting old quotes attached to my response as well as the new quote I’m actually trying to quote. Not sure why this is happening hope my explanation makes sense.

More than likely you clicked the quote button previously but never replied to it and it's still counting as a quoted post.

Is there anyway to undo that action if that’s the case? That has to be it just not sure how to correct it

you'd just click the quote button again for the post to unquote it.

I usually get the entire quote history even if I want to reply to only one post.
What I do is manually delete the bits not required.

I don't think there's a way around that since it just quotes whatever is in the post.

right, I meant as the system itself not manually doing it.
