That is a bit surprising. He was a great entertainer.

Obviously a really bad case of flu. Even if you weren't a Prince fan you can't deny his influence and contributions. I'm finding this parade of icons crossing over to be a little depressing.

I agree- tough year for music. I wasn't a fan of his music but can appreciate his talent. And his contribution on the G Harrison tribute cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps was epic. Made all the more so by the grin on Dhani's face.

very sad day......over the years i got the chance to meet prince on a number of occasions through a friend of mine who was a reporter. i can honestly say the man was as awesome in person as he was on stage. he was just an awesome human being and was one of the nicest most down to earth people i ever had the privilege of meeting, i did not get to spend a ton of time with him but he even showed us around the studio and would have willingly let us stay as long as we wanted to. i can not say enough how much people that knew him and were close to him will miss him he seriously meant the world to a lot of people. the world is a worse place without him. R.I.P

btw the autopsy will be tomm friday 4/21.

Probably not something your friend would want you posting.

He will be missed.
