JR_Reyes had the idea, and I thought it was a good one. There is not a ton of activity in this forum, and I know there are a few guys here that use straights. So...POST 'EM UP!! Photos, or just descriptions. SOTD's or just your razor. THIS is the spot to post your straight razor specs!

Nice thread!!
Since I am on a mission to test how long can I use a straight razor without resetting the bevel, I have been using/stropping/refreshing the same straight for quite some time and you know which one it is, Chris Big Grin

I am so stoked that this razor and you are getting along so well!

FWIW...you should be able to go many years without needing to reset the bevel. You may need to go down to 5k or so to get a good retouch on it, but the bevel, once set, should be good to go for a long time.

I plan on using this one till the end of this year, then I will move to my other 5 razors which are now resting in oil Smile.

Yes, I love almost everything about this razor, the round point, the middle of the road width, scales, also this being an inexpensive razor, I don't worry about dropping it. I will post a picture tonight once I get home.

Absolutely! Perhaps this thread will encourage you to put an edge on one of your straights and give it another try!

Tonight, I put the Wostenholm IXL Celebrated 6/8 hollow to work. I didn;t get a picture of it post-shave, but this one should suffice...
