What Straight Razor did you use today?

Tanifuji Silver steel. Alex Gilmore brought these back from Japan a number of years ago snd there were only three in the box. He sold one and asked if I wanted one or both, so I did both. The scales were a bit off from 50 years of storage, so Alfredo remodeled them with some black horn and ivory. Lovely razors, and a Tanifuji Silver Steel will take and hold the finest of edges.

Happy new year everyone here at DFS! Yesterday. Jonathan Crookes rattler.

Today, a Rifuto Silver Steel, starting the year off right. Soap was 3P lathered with a SOC and a dab of ABC almond balm finished up.

I haven't used it yet, but a good friend here (Ken aka Fluffy) gifted me my first straight. Yesterday I received a beginner's strop from Razor Emporium. One of my goals for 2022 is to learn to shave with a straight, while keeping my nose, lips, and ears in their current configuration and location!

I will be glad to help with honing, etc if you need it.
