What Straight Razor did you use today?

Simmons Keen Kutter 5/8 full hollow for my head

Koken Gazelle 5/8 hollow dwarf for cleaning my cheek lines

After receiving my Arkadia soap and splash from Stirling, I just couldn't resist shaving as much as possible

Every time I use this, I feel an urge to put all my other razors to BST.

I know what you mean. Straights that take those amazing Feather Artist Club blades are in a class by themselves. I like the Feather SS and DX, but my absolute favorite is the Kai Captain Excelia kamisori-style. The head is thinner and more maneuverable than on the Feather razors, and the balance is perfect. I use nothing else these days, and I've stopped looking for another razor, because I don't think I could do any better. Boring, you say? Nope -- because the shaves are consistently great!

A 6/8 Dubl Duck "Goldedge." Normally, I like a larger, heavier blade like a 7/8 ERN Crown & Sword, but the light DD makes a nice change of pace.

Tonight I used my JR Torrey 6/8 hollow

George Wostenholm IXL Celebrated 6/8 hollow

Went back and reset the bevel on this one tonight and got the best shave from her yet. I keep learning as I go...

W&B 6/8 roundtip with Bocote scales.
