I had a tub of Stirling Bonaparte, which, to my nose, paired very well with Lilac Vegetal...a.k.a.: The Veg.
In conversation with Rod at Stirling, he mentioned that he is considering it for a "Black Friday" offering. That's sounds great, but he might not.
Therefore, I am looking for an alternative soap, that emulates The Veg.
(Perhaps we can keep this thread on track and forgo negative comments on the infamous scent. It's a given that the Veg is not for everyone.)
Thanks for your thoughts.

It wasn't a Veg "dupe", for sure, but I put the history of Lilac and Bonaparte together with their respective scents, and I got a fantastic match.
Just my weird nose, I guess.
The Stirling is at the top of my wish list. I have had plenty of "lilac" soaps, but they don't have the "edge", that The Pinaud juice has.

Gotcha, my bad. Just a good pairing for you. Take care and hope he comes out with it again. Only one I think they've ever sold with a disclaimer that there will be no refunds if you don't like the scent and he encouraged you not to buy it LOL

Try B&M Fougere Classique! Like the veg, it's floral and powdery but without the urine funk of Pinauds lilac veg.

Not exactly the same, but close enough.

Frank, good nose. Like the match, but really like the brush. Is that a Rusty Vey with an MUHLE STF?

Yeah, I saw this Rudy Vey/Muhle STF brush on a BST a week or so ago and picked it up.

Unfortunately, this is an out of stock item. I was intrigued. Thanks.

I've never smelled The Veg. Is it supposed to smell like lilacs, and does it?
I like the scent of real lilacs. (Ours are just getting ready to bloom.)
