Brown Windsor (Mystic Water) ★★★★★ cinnamon, caraway, cardamom, clove, lavender

This is a sober scent. It's spicy without being rakish. The lavender keeps it sweet and smooth, but a dash of nutmeg and black pepper might round it out. Mystic Water's shaving soaps reward patience. I took fifteen minutes to make the lather in a soup bowl, dipping the brush in tap water from time to time and slowly working it into the soap until I had a glossy, thick, fragrant emulsion.
