Absinthe (Martin de Candre) minty anise
Shave 8 ・ 238 g left ・ $7.50 / shave
I was loving the smell of Wholly Kaw’s Dulci Tobacco, but after only two days with that thin cream my face was torn to shreds. Rather disappointing. So, back to the hold it goes. For the last month or so the only thing that’s worked consistently for me is Martin de Candre’s Absinthe along with the Vector razor and a guarded blade. I’m afraid you may be seeing a lot more of this set up in 2025.

Bouki, nice French touch with the Plisson synth. I have one too, with a purdy wood handle. The fibres have a scrubby feeling (and sound), even though the knot isn't dense due to the high loft.
I also have the Absinthe and Magellan soaps coming in, hopefully by the end of next week... still in France at the moment.

Friday's with Frank ...
Brush .... Morris & Forndran
Soap ..... ETHOS Vétivert
Razor .... Tatara Amakuni
Blade .... Proline P-30
Post ..... Witch Hazel w/alcohol
Post ..... ETHOS Vétivert SFS
Finish ... ETHOS Vétivert EDP
Tonight's shave was splendid. IMO by now, the ETHOS and M&F products speak for themselves. OTOH the Tatara Amakuni is a relative newcomer. First of all, many thanks to my good friend Eric (aka MaineYooper) for loaning me his Tatara Amakuni razor. I was very impressed with it, and will share my initial impressions in a bit more detail tomorrow, in the Amakuni Passaround Signup thread.
