It is like the girl in high school who you hated, but were attracted to. I am thinking, "what the Hell is that graphic about to eat the reindeer"? Why did they do that? And what does that name mean? Well, I did the research and discovered the graphic is an outline of "Christmas Island" and the name "Kiritimati" is "Christmas" transliterated into the local language. Why am I doing this? Why do I care? Why can't I just walk away?
I hear you. I did the same “research “ when I first got it. Who can understand the mysteries of naming and branding? Marketing is psychological warfare. If it was named aftershave with the following scent notes you might think, hmm, sounds nice, maybe me buy it. Give it a mysterious name with a whole story behind it and you’re drawn in on an emotional level and then your zombie brain says must have brains, or Kiritimati as the case may be.
I hate being manipulated. I hate it when women do it to me, and I hate it when aftershave manufactures do it to me. Obviously, I have issues.
