That scent is amazing

Neroli Siciliano (Abbate y La Mantia) Sicilian neroli

The strong, soapy base doesn’t overpower the bright, tart neroli, but if you’re after a pure citrus scent, this might fall short. That said, Neroli Siciliano smells undeniably clean. The soap is very hard, so blooming and heavy loading are helpful. The lather is slick enough, though not particularly thick. I was happy to stop scraping after one pass. While the pistachio oil – the soap’s special ingredient – didn’t noticeably enhance the shave or finish, it was still a pleasant shave. No regrets with this purchase.

Tuesday and Wednesday shaves Numbers Consecutive  2,184 & 2,185

I’ve got lots of milled soap pucks but have ignored them for awhile.  Why?  The last few shaves I’ve focused on those hard pucks and have realized how much I enjoy the process of putting a brush to a soap.  So much so that I decided to open two brand new old stock soaps.  Geo F Trumper Coconut and Trumper Lime.  Both of these pucks a pre-Trumper-lost-their-mind and switched from a potassium palmate first ingredient mix.  These soaps are a good as the new formulation is bad.  Coconut smells more like a coconut oil than a copper tone tanning lotion.

A visit to LJDJ Green Twist

Great soap base but find the scent not nearly the equivalent of Creed Green Irish Tweed: at least the release in my possession.  Soap comes across synthetic; not terrible but not great either

Stirling - Frankincense & Myrrh

Divine. The best part is that the frankincense is at the fore and the myrrh "might be present". Frankincense is the best scent in the natural world... I really hate when a scent lists frankincense and then it's buried under a bunch of other inferior notes. Why bother.
