Shire (Mammoth) violet vetiver
Shave 1 ・ 129 g
Shire opens with a flowery bouquet reminiscent of Choward’s Violet Mints. It’s sweet to the point of cloying – not exactly my favorite beginning. Fortunately, the floral cascade fades within a minute or two, replaced by a burst of vetiver. Now we’re talking. Subtle notes of clean earth, leather, and tobacco linger at the edges. Taken together these are the comforting smells of a well kept hobbit hole, where the springtime air is perfumed with pipe smoke, fresh soil, and the promise of adventure just beyond the garden gate.
