The soap is soaking up the bloom water, which Saponificio Varesino says is essential for its performance. Consequently, with each use this puck grows one gram heavier. For someone set on diminishing his hoard, that’s a little frustrating. On the other had, the sour smell I noted a few days ago has all but disappeared, and the lathers have grown steadily richer. The finish has been uniformly excellent, provided I remember not to use any aftershave. For some reason, any post-shave product leads to irritation.

LOL, your posts with Mûir(e) Wood enticed me to grab that set yesterday. This Nocturne is a really good olfactory interpretation of a cider mill.
