Shire (air, earth, flowers) – Mammoth
Shire's scent seems to encompass earthy, fresh, and floral/pretty elements. Glastonbury (Stiirling) picks up the earthy theme; Dunhill Edition flows with the floral prettiness. Both work for me.

I too had a hard time with this one. Years ago I was a pipe smoker and Balkan Sobranie was one of my favorites. If that pipe tobacco was the inspiration for this soap, I would call it a miss. OTOH, Shannon's Indigo Oud is spectacular (though not a tobacco scent). — Southsider
Thanks for that feedback and validation, Southsider. This is part of the company blurb [my bold] about Balkan Blend:
. . . Balkan Blend evokes an authentic, carefully crafted pipe tobacco. A mix of Virginian, Oriental, and Latakia tobaccos provide a unique and exotic sensory experience, with notes of orange, cherry, coumarin, and spice. Tobacco aficionados agree - it’s simply the most authentic, pure tobacco fragrance in shavedom.
Given just one use of the this soap and the ragweed pollen explosion attacking my respiratory system, I wanted to try and be somewhat restrained, but I'm not sure this scent even reaches authentic, pure cherry lozenge. Mammoth's Tobacconist gets my vote for best authentic, pure tobacco scent . . . not that I've smelled them all . . . but I seem to be trying.
My poor schnozz gets the tobacco scent in this. I too used to smoke Balkan Sobranie pipe mixture, but I never considered that this might be a tribute to that fine tobacco blend. I didn't detect cherry at all. Now that you guys have mentioned it, I'll probably be knocked over by it on my next use.

Shave 3
I mashed a little of Frank’s Rosa cream in with this sandalwood soap. The lather was fantastic, and the scent was pretty nice too, though I’ll probably cut back on the rose soap next time. It’s pretty potent, and I lost track of the sandal. Nevertheless, it was a great shave. I finished with Frank’s hyaluronic serum, fragranced with frankincense. Just wonderful.
