What soap/cream did you use today?

Did someone say “lemon week”? Nuage de Citron is a luscious lemony treat. My only question is, how is this soap’s fragrance different from Dragonsbeard's new Limoncello? They both sound like creamy lemony confections.

I've gone two years without missing a shave, but it took time to figure out how to shave daily without irritating my skin. Here’s what works for me:

1. Soaps with both clay and tallow are the most forgiving; I can use almost any razor and blade for a two-pass shave with no problem.
   
2. Soaps with either tallow or clay, but not both, require more care. I stick to light razors made of aluminum or titanium and use a gentle blade, like the Derby Extra. I can take two passes if I'm careful.
   
3. Soaps without tallow or clay may smell great, but using them daily can be painful. A light razor and a mild blade help prevent irritation, but I limit myself to one very light pass.
   
4. Shaving against the grain is always a mistake.
   
5. Shaving parts of the face that aren't well bearded is not recommended. I have a a couple bare spots that just don't care for a sharp blade.
   
6. Creams have their place, but they’re a rare treat. They often smell wonderful but generally lack the cushion my tender hide needs. Once again, one pass with a light razor and a dullish blade is all I dare.
   

And here are my five favorite brands of soap, the ones I've used the most over the last two years:

1. Abbate y La Mantia: great scents, uneven cushion
   
2. Martin de Candre: will easily last until the end of the world
   
3. Ethos: best postshave skin care, excellent natural fragrances
   
4. Barrister & Mann: best for long term shave odysseys
   
5. Joserra: doesn't matter what razor or blade I throw at it, Joserra always gives me a trouble-free shave.

To answer your question the difference is the Nuauge de Cotrkm has a lot of other aroma ingredients in it including Sandalwood where’s the Lemoncello is just Lemon and was also an infusion of real Lemon peels.

Texture: Croap.

Having trouble discerning tobacco here in this soap, so far. 

No such issue at all with Stirling Gentleman splash (dry tobacco): its essence is tobacco.
