No real story. The Golden 500 was a deluxe version of the type J with a more slender and longer handle. They came in ivory or black, with black being the most commonly encountered.

Unfortunately I won't be shaving for a few days. Picked a fight with the wrong bush yesterday.

Crazy day yesterday... First, my back bike tire (brand new) wouldn't hold air, so I had to bring it to the bike shop. They couldn't get me in right away, and told me to go get breakfast and come back after. On the way to breakfast, I got pulled over for an expired registration. After, I picked up my bike and went mountain biking... and fell into the bush. And finally, I got covid yesterday.
