I would love for Frank and Will to team up on a joint SE soap - an annual special release. That would be cool. It would sell out in a nano-second.(06-01-2024, 02:44 AM)TommyCarioca Wrote:(06-01-2024, 02:20 AM)Bouki Wrote: Fougère Classique (Barrister & Mann) Fougère FridayBouki, like the base like you. It is my favorite base... But his scents are ok.... Meh.... Certainly not like Frank's or Mo's. I love using it for the lather quality... I reached out to him to make an unscented version. No interest.

Is this the same fragrance as Barrister's Reserve Classic? I remember giving that tub away since I didn’t really like the smell. I may do the same with this Fougère Classique. What have I got against it? I smell a pungent side note that reminds me of the Naugahyde seats in an old truck that's been sitting out in the summer sun. Maybe the soap should be called Fougère Plastique?
But I have to admit that this Omnibus lather is exceptional. One gram made enough silken lather for five passes. And the slickness is otherworldly. I’m going to keep this soap solely for its performance. I hope to eventually make peace with the smell.

Lime today.
I was one of the testers for the Omnibus roll out and we tried 12-13 versions for Will. It’s such a wonderful final product and knew it was special by the second or third rendition.
Favorite base it might be but I also struggle with the scents. The more straightforward offerings like Lime work really well as does the gentle Paganini's Violin which is really memorable but the more complex jars are often overdone and too busy for me.
