Salters is half as much and performs as well but the performance is certainly excellent. Although I can get similar performance at a lower cost elsewhere the smoky cedar in this one is killer. It’s not cedar in a campfire. It’s not cedar-lined closet cedar. This is a rough and ready cedar that smells like trees that survived fire. It smells like cedar that’s ready for a hard days work. Yeah, I like it a lot.Lip - yes sir, i begged WSP to resuscitate this puck - I got the proverbial stiff arm - a big nope.
And I saw yesterday’s shave drying on the counter and thought to report on it too. Mostly I’m not so into fougeres as I am vetivers or lavenders but this one seemed stripped down to the very essence of what my brain tells me a fougere ought to be. It’s not flowery and it’s not formal. The bite of the oakmoss reminds me that we can’t always tame wild things. It’s sad this is no longer in production and either we need Bull Goose to bring it back or beg Wet Shaving Products to make it under their own flag this time. When it first came out I had both the crème and the soap. Only have a bit of the cream left. Oh and I’d been using that Rockwell with plate 4 for the last several days. I’ve no idea why. Plate 5/6 is the only one I need.
