What soap/cream did you use today?

Argos was the name of the mythical man who built the first ship. He was helped by the goddess Athena, who gave him the tools and the know-how. His ship, which he modestly named Argo, was made of the finest timber and fitted out with a sail and fifty oars. The prow could navigate by itself or give the sailors directions. The crew included all the greatest Greek heroes: Jason, Hercules, Orpheus, Theseus, and many more. They set out on an epic adventure to retrieve the golden fleece.

Following in the wake of the Argonauts, I'm embarking upon odyssey of my own. This journey, however, requires no sea-swept voyages nor duels with dragons and sirens. This epic will unfold over the tepid water of my sink. My quest? To see this tub of soap through to its foamy end. It promises to be an endeavor of quiet valor, a testament to domestic heroism. Declaration Grooming - Weinstrasse (Milksteak)

Great shave, as always with Milksteak. But I don't know what happened to the scent... it was like apple juice this time, and I don't remember it being so. SMH. Now I know why our in-house sage Bouki was saying "Welch’s white grape juice" (11/24/2023).



Beyond that unfortunate surprise, today was great. I took the day off to get outside. Went on the first bike ride of the season with the big guy. I think he has been listening to Michael Jackson while I'm at work.



FWIW, as great as today's shave was with this base, my recent shaves with the Tallow+Steel soaps were noticeably even better. They have my attention right now (their latest formula is excellent, not sure when v3 came out)... And their scents are much better now than in previous years, IMO

Generously on loan as I determine how much more gap I want when I order one if I do when my turn is up on the wait-list. This does a great job and think I only need a touch more so a gap of .40 should be perfect.
